Autumn in South Central Indiana brings a dynamic display of color and light.. A thin
and hollow Fall sun seems to conjure the trees from an aspect of translucence so that
everything bears a quality of reflection, and images actually mirrored in water are
sharper than their true subjects.
Most of these images are taken in my backyard. The pond is behind
my apartment building and I've taken images from throughout the season, including our
first snowfall in December. Other images are from Brown County, just east of
Bloomington, an area of forest with colors that draw landscape artists from around the
nation each October.
